HALF CALF
Half calf is half of a raw hide, obtained upon cutting a leather in half along the backbone of the animal. It is used for the production of bags, shoes and belts.

FRONT
the front part of raw bovine or horse hide, including the shoulders and front legs. It is used for the production of bags and luggages.

CULATTA
Italian term for back of bovine hide comprising the butt, the belly middles and hind legs of the animal. It is used for the production of shoes and belts.

SHOULDER
the front of a raw bovine hide comprising the shoulders and the neck.
It is mainly used for the production of leather goods and luggage.

BELLY
the side part of a raw bovine hide comprising the lower part of the body and the upper part of the legs.
For its characteristics it is used for the production of small leather goods, children’s shoes and belts.

BUTT
the central part of a raw bovine hide except bellies and shoulders. It is the most precious area of the hide, it is very compact and uniform. It is used for the production of leather goods, garments, uppers, but above all sole leather thank for its compactness.
